Stay Alert: Scam Activity on the Rise
A reminder to everyone to stay vigilant as scam activity continues to increase, particularly scams impersonating trusted organisations.
The Australian Taxation Office has issued warnings about scammers posing as the ATO via emails, text messages and phone calls. Some of these scams use DocuSign-branded emails or claim you have documents to sign or urgent tax matters to resolve. These messages can look very convincing but are designed to steal personal or financial information.
Remember, the ATO will never ask for sensitive information, payments, or login details via unexpected emails or SMS, and you should be cautious of any unsolicited DocuSign requests that you are not expecting.
If you receive a message that doesn’t seem right, don’t click links or open attachments. If you’re unsure whether a message is genuine, please contact our team for guidance before taking any action.
